Redshift EP is a six-star sonic universe which expands itself rapidly towards a vision of TRANSFORMATION. It is conceived from a passionate love affair between the Vulnerable and the Powerful.
These songs fearlessly combine diverse musical influences ranging from electronic music, avant-garde sound art and various forms of live music such as progressive metal and noise rock. All these unite in a ruthless pursuit of The Sound.
Redshift tracks are the result of a non-linear compositional approach wherein Lenkadu sampled field recordings, programmed beats, dreamt out psychedelic kalimba lines, affected shaker polyrhythms, laid simple guitar riffs, and created fluid bass undercurrents. This layered universe of Redshift EP is fueled by Lenkadu’s vocal textures that dare to span from the animalistic and guttural to the fragile and ethereal.
